High-speed Assembly
and Testing Machines

High-speed assembly, feeding, and inspection systems from OKU, designed
for maximum productivity as part of the high-speed segment of
AXENTIS System Technologies GmbH.

High-speed. Precise. Reliable.

Custom Automation Solutions for Your Industry
Assembly, feeding, and inspection systems that reliably maintain cycle times in complex manufacturing environments, designed for industries where speed and precision brook no compromise.

As the high-speed segment of AXENTIS System Technologies GmbH, these systems are further developed, manufactured, and fully supported under the OKU brand. The technology remains. The expertise remains. Your direct point of contact remains. Each system is developed through close, goal-oriented collaboration, tailored to your requirements in manufacturing, feeding, and testing. This leads you directly to the optimal solution for your industry.

Our Approach

Each system is designed in collaboration with you and precisely tailored to your component and process. The robust basic structure ensures reliable production in continuous operation, over many years, and in climate zones around the world. When supplemented with suitable feeding systems, you receive a comprehensive solution.

At the heart of every system is the proven OKUMAT modular system: Its modules operate on the principle of cam control and can be flexibly combined—from rotary indexing to cell assembly to continuous production. Easily interchangeable components make the design of your customized solution fast and cost-effective.

OKUMAT

The OKUMAT modular system forms the basis of nearly all OKU systems. We arrange 8, 12, 16, or 24 assembly stations around one of three centrally driven base units, individually tailored to your components and processes. Both the modular solution and the transfer solution are based on this principle. This ensures you receive a custom-built system that operates with high reliability even under continuous use.

Modular Solution

When dealing with just a few individual parts, the modular solution is the right choice. Its exceptionally compact design integrates easily into existing production lines. The parts are assembled with precision using cam-controlled handling. A small rotary indexing table provides space for additional processes such as welding or camera inspection—all within a single system.

Transfer solution

The Transfer solution is our linear assembly system for longer process chains. On a robust welded structure serving as the base unit, the work movements of the stations and the switching motion of the transport chain run in precise synchronization, mechanically controlled via hardened cams. This ensures the highest repeatability, even during demanding assembly processes.

Feeding system

To ensure your system maintains a reliable cycle time, the right parts feeder is essential. Our feeding systems handle even delicate parts gently, in the correct orientation, and with precision—even at high cycle rates. Gentle coatings protect your components, and thanks to easy integration with your existing infrastructure, you can start production quickly. Available as an option for all OKU machines.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are small and medium-sized parts also possible?

Yes. We specialize in the assembly of medium-sized and small parts. For a few individual parts, the compact module solution is ideal; for longer process chains, the transfer solution.

What is the OKUMAT system?

The OKUMAT is our cam-controlled base unit and the foundation of most OKU systems. More than 6,000 systems of this type are in use worldwide. Its modular principle with easily interchangeable components makes individual solutions flexible and economical.

How does a project at AST proceed?

It begins with a detailed quotation, tailored to your production goals. This is followed by transparent project management from planning to production start, with permanent access to the schedule and development process and a single central contact.

I already operate an OKU system. Will I continue to receive service and spare parts?

Yes. The OKU systems are continued, manufactured and fully supported under the established OKU brand. For your existing system, you will continue to receive spare parts, service and a dedicated contact, in the usual quality and with the same technology.

Can additional processes be integrated?

Yes. Besides pure assembly, processes such as welding or camera inspection can be integrated directly into the system. And where standard solutions reach their limits, we develop exactly the system that fits your process in our special-solutions division, perfectly matched to your requirements.

What cycle output do the OKU systems achieve?

Depending on the system and application, we achieve between 10 and 300 parts per minute, at a repeatability of under 0.05 mm.
