Reliable connecting rod machining, from breaking off to fine boring in the micrometer range.
The right solution for every geometry and every material.

Our cracking and assembly modules are designed for breaking and assembling connecting rods in small and medium production runs. Their modular design allows for a freely configurable process sequence, using the same proven technologies found in our fully automatic rotary transfer machines. The breaking unit is the key factor in determining quality: With our high-speed breaking unit, we find the right solution for every connecting rod geometry and every material. Process monitoring can be integrated as an option.

When short cycle times and high-volume production are required, our rotary table machines are the right choice. Each machine is custom-designed for your specific process sequence, featuring modular machining units with horizontal, vertical, or inclined spindle configurations. The loading concept, which operates in parallel with active machining time, ensures short cycle times with consistently high quality while optimizing floor space requirements.

The AF 400 is designed specifically for the semi-finishing and finishing of connecting rods. Non-overlapping feed axes and a compact axis layout without overhanging masses ensure the highest precision. Even oval and trumpet-shaped bores can be machined with freely programmable geometry. Thanks to the clamping cube concept, you can machine up to four different workpiece types without retooling—quickly, flexibly, and cost-effectively.

The AC 400 is a machining center with 2, 3, 4, or 5 motorized spindles, automatic tool change, and a tool magazine. Spindles with NC face turning capabilities and additional spindle rows are available as options. This allows you to combine the flexibility of a machining center with the cost-effectiveness of a system specialized for connecting rods.
Yes. Thanks to the clamping-cube concept, up to four different workpiece types can be processed on the AF 400 without retooling, saving time and increasing flexibility.
The splitting unit is the quality-determining element of every cracking machine. With our high-speed cracking unit and optionally integrated process monitoring, you keep an eye on the quality of every single cracking operation.
Our specially developed fine-boring spindles compensate for tool wear via an adjustment mechanism. This lets you achieve machining tolerances in the micrometer range, even for oval and trumpet-shaped bores with freely programmable geometry.
From the flexible small batch to the highly productive production line, we deliver the right concept. For small and medium quantities, our manually loaded cracking and assembly modules are ideal; for large series, fully automatic lines.
Forged and sintered connecting rods. Forged ones receive their predetermined breaking point via a laser notch, sintered ones are cracked without a laser. For every connecting-rod geometry and material, we find the right solution.
No. As an individual system solution, we handle the machining of the most varied components, from gearbox and clutch housings through cylinder heads to steering knuckles. On request, several workpiece types even run on the same system.
Yes. Whether a single machine or a complete line: we deliver turnkey, from engineering and design through to commissioning. You receive a ready-to-operate system from a single source.
